D5B austenitic ductile iron

Product Use

Feature

The D5B type high-nickel austenitic ductile iron (nickel content 34%-37%) features an atomic close-packed face-centered cubic lattice structure. It maintains a stable austenite structure at room temperature, exhibiting higher thermal chemical stability compared to conventional ductile iron and silicon-molybdenum ductile iron. Additionally, it possesses outstanding resistance to thermal shock, thermal creep, corrosion, high-temperature oxidation, as well as low thermal expansion and low-temperature impact toughness. This material is widely used domestically and internationally in the manufacturing of heat-resistant and corrosion-resistant components such as seawater pumps, valves, gas turbine casings, exhaust pipes, valve seats, machine tool dimensionally stable components, scientific instruments, glass molds, and other components.
